This shot was taken in January 2020 on my favorite bridge in Paris. It was a cool and crisp Winter afternoon wandering through the city with my camera. I stopped to take in the view and got my camera out just as this flock of seagulls flew overhead and added the perfect moody, seaside elements to this otherwise simple shot of the city. I simply thought they added a cool aspect to the photo but little did I know that their songs would be the only sound I heard when I opened my windows a few weeks later to an empty and locked down Paris.
The Pont des Arts is one of the oldest and most iconic bridges in Paris. This wooden pedestrian bridge connects the Left and Right banks of the Seine and provides stunning views of the city. From the Ile de la Cité to the Louvre and even the Eiffel Tower - you can spot them all from this bridge.
